Poem: my way

-My way- Hoping, expecting, waiting, though I have no good hopes. Hence it appears my struggle is idle, still I continue my fight. The void inside of me, the abyss, I stagger on its steep slopes. Travelling through my darkness, an endless journey, freedom is out of sight. Trying to escape reality, filling myself with worthless things, nothing satisfies. Finding myself in a vicious circle, my strength decreases and I pine away. Loneliness, disappointment, desolation, they have become my allies. Tormenting my brain, I am getting exhausted, haunted day by day. Reasoning against all reason, trying to analyze myself, trying to find a solution. Sinking deeper and deeper, drowning in this river of sadness and depression. Rejecting and isolating myself, I slowly die, living in total seclusion. Searching for a way out, but I can't make amends for my transgression. Rejecting the Way to life, living this life of rejection. Accepting no love, closing my heart, I live in pain. I am anxious yes I ache for affection. All Your loving words, I can't take them into my heart, it seems to be in vain. More at: http://eng.poethical.nl/
