Former School Board Member Calls Audience "The Klan"
Former school board member Ron Jackson was already in hostile territory when he walked into tonight's panel discussion on St. Louis Public Schools, he could see that by the familiar faces of teachers' union members and parents who have been critical of his decisions during his four years on the board. But he quickly made things worse for himself when he referred to those people as either "the clan" or "the Klan". Whether the word used by Jackson, who is black, began with a "c" or a "k", some people in the crowd were audibly offended.
