Lioness by lennie niehaus - sax quartet

Watch Lioness by Lennie Niehaus - Sax Quartet video clip

This is an OLD video that I didn't even remember making. It was my 8th grade saxophone quartet playing the 2nd movement, Lioness, from The Miniature Jazz Suite #6 by Lennie Niehaus. We played that and the 3rd movement, Hornist Nest, for our district solo and ensemble competition. (Obviously this was an ensemble, not a solo). I also made a video of us playing Hornist Nest but the sound quality was a bit distorted. We made a 1+ (the + technically wasn't allowed). Instrumentation: 1st Alto - Jared Beu (Me) (8th) 2nd Alto - Sindhu (7th) Tenor - MinSuk (7th) Baritone - David Nguyen (8th) For anyone interested, on alto I am playing a Vandoren Traditional strength 5 on a Selmer S-80 D mouthpiece with a Vandoren Optimum Ligature. On Bari, David is playing a Vandoren Traditional strength 5 on a Selmer S-80 C* mouthpiece with a rovner ligature.
